Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £24,730.75 per annum
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Term time plus 6 weeks
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Liaison Officer/Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our team at Acorn Care and Education. As a key member of our safeguarding team, you will be responsible for engaging with vulnerable families to provide support and guidance, and for acting as a point of contact for families in need of assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with vulnerable families to formulate a package of support and provide guidance on how to access external services.
- Act as a point of contact for families in need of assistance and provide signposting and referral services as required.
- Liaise professionally with external agencies, including Housing, NSPCC, Sure Start, Social Care, Early Intervention Teams, Passenger Transport, YOS, and Police.
- Complete referral forms to external agencies as necessary and attend multi-agency meetings as required.
- Carry out home visits where necessary and build effective relationships with families.
- Provide opportunities for families to engage with the school before their child begins and maintain regular contact with families of pupils receiving support.
- Act as Deputy Designated Lead for the school and ensure all training is kept current and valid.
- Maintain record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures in place in school, including case studies.
