About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Estates Manager to join our team at West Northants Council. As a key member of our estates management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice and direction to our schools directorate, developing key strategies and delivery plans in collaboration with stakeholders.

With a strong background in PFI commercial contracts, you will ensure the successful commercial and performance delivery of adult care and schools PFI contracts, valued at over £1 billion. You will lead a team of finance support, contract administration, contract performance, and surveying staff to provide good governance and challenge to PFI contractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic estates management advice and direction to the Council's schools directorate
  • Developing key strategies and delivery plans in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Ensuring the successful commercial and performance delivery of adult care and schools PFI contracts
  • Leading a team of finance support, contract administration, contract performance, and surveying staff

About You

We are looking for an individual with a clear understanding and experience of complex PFI commercial contracts. You will have a degree-level qualification equivalent to building surveying, construction project management, contract management, or management, supported by experience working with PFI projects.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong background in PFI commercial contracts
