Workshop Recruitment is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technical Manager to support and lead the Moulding Production team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities of the Moulding Production team, including team performance, training, health and safety, sickness, and holidays.

Key responsibilities include overseeing all mould tooling maintenance and servicing, liaising with external tooling suppliers, and acting as point of contact for all tooling enquiries.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, and proven experience in a leadership role within an injection moulding company.

They will also possess excellent knowledge of injection mould tooling, tool making, tooling suppliers, and the plastics industry, as well as good computer skills, including the ability to read and write CAD data, project planning, and email communication.

The role offers a competitive salary, profit share, and health cash back scheme, with Monday to Friday days and an early finish on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage day-to-day activities of the Moulding Production team.
  2. Oversee all mould tooling maintenance and servicing.
  3. Act as point of contact for all tooling enquiries.
  4. Implement lean activities and upskilling staff to improve production processes and efficiencies.

Requirements:

Experience in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in a leadership role within an injection moulding company.Excellent knowledge of injection mould tooling, tool making, tooling suppliers, and the plastics industry.Good computer skills, including the ability to read and write CAD data, project planning, and email communication.
