Technical Support Assistant

An exciting opportunity to join our growing CCTV department
This role will be based at our Littlehampton head office, supporting the CCTV department and clients with all technical issues. Maintaining the smooth running of the technical aspect of the department and reporting to the CCTV technical manager to assist in developing the product range.
**Principle Duties & Accountabilities**
The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:
- Supporting CCTV engineers
- Preparing and configuring hire CCTV equipment
- Testing & cleaning off-hired CCTV equipment
- Liaising with manufacturers / solution providers
- Daily maintenance checks on client CCTV systems
- Troubleshooting and fixing issues
- Assisting CCTV Technical Manager in developing the product range.
- Adding asset labels to equipment and accurately recording serial numbers
- General admin on the company CRM (Entering hire information, alterations, off-hires)
- Filing documents to comply with company and ISO requirements
- Generating reports for department performance
- Conducting basic daily checks of the CCTV systems to make sure they are running smoothly. Reporting any issues to the technical team to resolve.
- Processing faulty return equipment from engineers and sending back to manufacturers.
- Assisting the other members of the CCTV team.
- Assisting with technical queries from other departments.
**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
**Level of Knowledge & Experience**
- Experience of computerised systems desirable
- MS Office experience is essential
- Strong IT Skills
- Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to quickly learn about new technology
- Experience of working in an office environment essential
Desirable factors
- Previous CCTV experience
- Understanding of IP, networking & VPNs
- Engineering background
- Driver's license
- Experience in the construction industry
- Basic electrical knowledge
