Electronics Test Engineer Lead

As a key member of the Advanced Energy team, the Electronics Test Engineer Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our high voltage power supplies. This position will be responsible for leading a team of test technicians in the development and testing of new products, as well as the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Possesses advanced knowledge of circuitry and troubleshooting, with the ability to fault find down to component level and contribute towards design development improvements.
  2. Uses specifications, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units, maintaining fixturing and performing calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
  3. May aid with training other AE global site employees in established processes or function as technical interface, with travel required as needed.
  4. Acts as the primary point-of-contact and knowledge-holder/subject-matter expert for a work cell, team, or area, establishing and directing priorities for the team working with NPI build Lead and NPI Manager.
  5. Owns the Training and development of NPI Test Technicians, organizing and executing schedules and daily work assignments as needed, driving teammates to hit established goals.
  6. Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner and works under limited supervision, being accountable for the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth of the relevant area.
  7. Helps eliminate obstacles for the work cell/team by tracking, supporting, and giving feedback through to final resolution, coordinating and owning the Test Daily Management process.
  8. Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put, and cost reductions, ensuring all quality processes and procedures are followed per department FP's.
  9. Ensures a safe working environment for team, resolving or escalating potential hazards, working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ability to apply manufacturing processes.
  10. Working knowledge of basic PC programs, including Excel, Word, etc., and thorough understanding of production/service procedures, ESD, 5S, and SAP, certified in all required production/service training per FP209.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred.
  2. Proven ability and experience leading a team and maintaining flexibility, understanding Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  3. Intermediate computer knowledge to include AE Nexus, Excel, Word, and Outlook, proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.
  4. Minimum of two years electronic testing and troubleshooting (or equivalent), assists in designing, developing, and implementing new test fixturing.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices, HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree.
