Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Dartford, Kent. As a key member of our community-based CAMHS team, you will work closely with young people, their families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced psychiatrist to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative mental health services. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs across Dartford.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills. A strong understanding of current developments in mental health care and a commitment to delivering evidence-based practice are essential.
As a consultant psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and guidance to the team, working directly with young people and their families, and liaising with external CAMHS providers and acute hospitals.
The role involves participating in the on-call rota, which is currently 1:14, with a 3% on-call supplement. You will also support your peers and team leader, working collaboratively to ensure the effective delivery of services.

- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- CCT or equivalent qualification
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
- Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
- Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
- A competitive salary range £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience
