About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Coach to join our team at Forest Green Rovers Football Club. As a Community Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering our community-focused initiatives, projects, and programmes, working closely with our football club to make a positive impact on the lives of people in our local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality coaching sessions to young people, focusing on developing life skills, fundamental skills, and techniques, promoting enjoyment for the game.
  • Build positive relationships with diverse groups of young people, parents, community partners, and other coaching staff.
  • Support the delivery of tournaments, matches, refereeing, or managing young people, ensuring equal playing time and experience.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with participants, parents, community partners, and other coaching staff.
  • Collect and process data for all programmes, working on match days, and leading coaching at Soccer Camps.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the FA Coaching Pathway and a minimum of a Level 2 football coaching badge or Youth Work level 2.
  • Experience of working or volunteering within school, club, or community sporting settings.
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate coaching sessions, with good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced CRB Certificate or Current FA DBS Clearance, FA Safeguarding & Emergency aid/BFAS Qualifications, and ability to work within a team effectively and efficiently.
