Job Overview

Role: Employment Advisor

Location: Multiple locations, with a requirement for a full UK driving license to travel between sites.

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Description:

  • Attract, register, and guide participants towards successful placements, utilizing diagnostic skills, individual and group coaching, and optimizing available funding.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Job Centre Plus and other relevant partners through regular telephone contact, visits, and newsletters.
  • Sign participants up to the programme, ensuring accurate and timely completion of documentation.
  • Explain the service offering, including ensuring participants understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Identify, clarify, and manage participant expectations, including data protection, confidentiality, and ground rules of the programme.
  • Develop and manage participants' job goals using creative techniques and deep-level questioning.
  • Engage and empower participants through group training sessions, aiming to progress them to achieve sustainable employment.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum.
  • Experience of working in a performance target-driven environment.
  • Technical skills include strong administration skills, good computer/technology skills, basic numeracy skills, and good written communication/record-keeping skills.
  • Personal interests include an interest in people and a willingness to learn.
  • Personal circumstances include a willingness to travel locally.
  • Full UK driving license as the role requires travel.
