Role Overview

As an Employment Advisor at Standguide, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in securing sustainable employment. You will be responsible for attracting, registering, and guiding participants towards successful placements, utilizing diagnostic skills, individual and group coaching, and optimizing available funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with Job Centre Plus and other relevant partners to ensure participants are aware of our services and to allay any concerns they may have with accessing or utilizing our services.
  • Sign participants up to the programme, following system and process guidance, ensuring accurate and timely completion of documentation.
  • Explain our service offering, including ensuring the participant understands their rights and responsibilities, whilst registering the participant in accordance with contractual obligations and eligibility criteria.
  • Identify, clarify, and manage participant expectations of the process, including data protection, confidentiality, and ground rules of the programme and the relationship to achieve buy-in to the programme.
  • Develop and manage participants' job goals using creative techniques and deep-level questioning as necessary for the participants' needs to assist with diagnosis and progression.
  • Engage and empower participants whilst delivering group training sessions, with the aim of progressing them to achieve sustainable employment.
Requirements
  • Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum.
  • Experience of working in a performance target-driven environment.
  • Technical skills include strong administration skills, good computer/technology skills, basic numeracy skills, and good written communication/record-keeping skills.
  • Personal interests include an interest in people and a willingness to learn.
  • Personal circumstances include a willingness to travel locally (e.g., to meet participants/employers).
  • Full UK driving license as the role requires travel.
