Employment Advisor Role

Standguide is seeking a skilled Employment Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and employers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attract, register, and guide participants towards successful placements.
  • Utilize diagnostic skills, individual and group coaching, and optimize available funding to empower individuals to secure sustainable employment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Job Centre Plus and other relevant partners to ensure participants are aware of our services.
  • Sign participants up to the program, explaining our service offering and ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Identify, clarify, and manage participant expectations, including data protection, confidentiality, and ground rules of the program.
  • Develop and manage participants' job goals using creative techniques and deep-level questioning.
  • Engage and empower participants while delivering group training sessions to progress them towards sustainable employment.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum.
  • Experience of working in a performance target-driven environment.
  • Strong administration skills, good computer/technology skills, basic numeracy skills, and good written communication/record-keeping skills.
  • Personal interests include interest in people and willingness to learn.
  • Personal circumstances include willingness to travel locally.
  • Full UK driving license as the role requires travel.
