Professional Caregiver

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the welfare and safety of young people. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for providing daily care, learning, and development opportunities that cater to each individual's needs and capabilities.
The key to success in this position lies in your ability to advocate for each young person's rights, views, and individuality. You will work collaboratively with the team to create a safe and secure environment that fosters growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nurturing care and support to young people, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to each young person's unique needs and abilities.
- Maintain clear and consistent boundaries, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all young people.
- Participate actively in team activities, including weekly meetings and training sessions, to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Be available to provide care and support, including participating in sleep-ins as part of a shift, to ensure consistency and stability for young people.
- Hunts Recruitment provides a supported programme for professional development, working closely with staff to identify individual training needs.
- Therapeutic modular training is provided to equip staff with the skills and confidence to work effectively with young people within the values model.
- Training and support are given on managing challenging behaviors, including diffusion or distraction techniques, and physical holding as a last resort.
