Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Child Health Development Coordinator to join our Public Health Nursing Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting good health in school-age children through delivery of the National Childhood Measurement Programme and Vision and Hearing Screening.

The successful candidate will work closely with parents, school staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination. Your primary focus will be on identifying and addressing health issues in children, providing expert guidance and support where needed.

Main Responsibilities
  • To work collaboratively with our Public Health Nursing Team to promote healthy growth and development in school-age children.
  • To coordinate and deliver Vision and Hearing Screening programs in schools, ensuring accurate assessment and reporting of results.
  • To engage with parents and caregivers to educate them on maintaining their child's health and well-being.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community groups, and healthcare organizations to foster partnerships and enhance service delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience working within a health-related environment, preferably in a pediatric setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • A sound understanding of child development principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
