Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our esteemed New Forest CAMHS team at Ashurst Child and Family Centre in Southampton. As a Clinical Lead, you will provide specialist mental health support to young people in the New Forest region, working closely with a skilled multi-disciplinary team.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Consultant in Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS), your key duties will include:
- Providing clinical leadership and specialist care within a dedicated team, offering assessments, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatments for young people with complex mental health needs.
- Working closely with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure patient-centred, holistic care remains at the core of our service.
Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
This role offers 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) weekly, including dedicated time for professional development, teaching, and quality improvement. You'll contribute to service growth, clinical governance, and innovation within an inspiring, collaborative setting.

Requirements- Fulfillment of essential skills and qualifications, including Full Registration with the General Medical Council, MRCPsych or recognised equivalent, and eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 12 months of CCT at time of interview.
- Prior experience of general adult psychiatry and prior experience of working with detained/Mental Health inpatients as senior trainee or consultant.
