We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at Austen House, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

As a leading specialist in child and adolescent mental health, you will be responsible for providing expert assessment, diagnosis, and care for adolescents with complex psychiatric needs. You will lead clinical care, managing complex cases within the secure unit, and supervising and supporting a multi-disciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality clinical care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adolescents with complex psychiatric needs
  • To lead clinical care within the secure unit, managing complex cases and ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients
  • To supervise and support a multi-disciplinary team, promoting best practices and evidence-based care
  • To contribute to service development, providing input on patient pathways and staff training
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, which we estimate to be around £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including:

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council
  • MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 12 months of CCT at time of interview
  • CCT in general Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
