Job Summary:

Nationwide Platforms is seeking a highly skilled Technical Training Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Training Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills to operate and maintain our fleet of powered access equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for engineers, including technical skills development and manufacturer training courses.
  • Design and maintain courseware to ensure it remains current and relevant.
  • Deliver a minimum of 100 training days per year, including face-to-face, virtual, and online training.
  • Project manage the completion of small training programs and plan and execute Train the Trainer sessions.
  • Prepare training with risk assessments for classroom and practical facilities, and conduct tests/assessments to required standard.
  • Undertake training courses as requested and work towards relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Assessor qualifications and manufacturer qualifications.

Requirements:

  • A base level of formal qualification in an aligned area, such as heavy plant and equipment maintenance, powered access, or equivalent.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to deal with people at all levels with an engaging and cheerful style.
  • An open and inquisitive approach to work, prepared to think outside of the box, adaptable, and responsive.
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and change, resilient, strong work ethic.
  • Well-organized, with effective self-management and time management skills.
  • A high standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Comfortable working at height.
  • Full UK driving license.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of powered access engineering with relevant qualifications and manufacturer training.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including writing PowerPoint presentations and participant handouts using Word.
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring, tutoring, or teaching within a business or learning establishment.
