Nursing Leadership Expert

As a key member of the undisclosed team, the Assistant Director, Nursing will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of payroll and participating in the interview process. This individual will oversee the development, planning, and implementation of in-service training programs, on-the-job training, and onboarding programs for nursing staff. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with all AMAP policies and procedures, provide assessments of medical/nursing needs, and collaborate with Nurses on external health care activities.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in interview process and hiring decisions
- Oversee development and implementation of training programs
- Ensure compliance with AMAP policies and procedures
- Provide medical/nursing needs assessments
- Collaborate with Nurses on external health care activities
Requirements:
- Minimum three years nursing experience
- Valid New York State Registered Nurse's License
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Professional experience in an OPWDD setting preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Excellent written and communication skills
