Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Yorkshire or the North West of England. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our life sciences and diagnostics instrumentation lines.

In this role, you will act as the face of our company, ensuring our customers receive high-quality service. You will work closely with our customer care team to perform field service and provide first-line onsite user training on life science and diagnostics systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing field service as advised by Customer Care in conjunction with the Service / Team Leader.
  • Carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair of the current and future Life Science / Diagnostics instrument portfolio.
  • Providing first-line onsite user training on life science and diagnostics systems.
  • Organizing routine maintenance allocated on a monthly basis.
  • Maintaining ancillary documentation, such as Safety Manuals and Procedures Manuals, to the highest standard.
  • Aligning personal working practices with the department's performance targets.
  • Maintaining personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard.
  • Ensuring all tools and test equipment are adequate to perform the service required.
  • Completing all Work Orders and associated documentation within a day of completion.

Requirements include:

  • Relevant education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a Customer Service Environment, preferably with Life Science instrument applications.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Prepared to travel.
  • Full driving license.
