In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in their homes. Your duties will include:

  • Delivering exceptional nursing care according to established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Ensuring timely and accessible resident admissions.
  • Coordinating resident transfers and discharges.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
  • Maintaining the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Effective, compassionate, and supportive interpersonal skills.
  • A respect for each resident's individuality, self-respect, and privacy.
  • Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act and other pertinent statutes.
