About the Role:

XPO Logistics is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team in Leigh, working Monday to Friday PM shift in a full-time permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out all relevant warehouse processes, from receipt to despatch, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • To actively promote and work within specified standards of depot health and safety, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • To utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary and carry out relevant processes relating to Goods in/Order picking/Goods out, as directed.
  • To complete all tasks within specified time, ensuring quality of work and adhering to Health, Safety and Hygiene standards.
  • To work in a safe manner, having due regard to the safety of those around and use MHE as directed and in a safe manner.
  • To work within XPO's processes and values, contributing to the achievement of customer targets and standards.
  • To understand customer values and requirements, working as part of the customers' team and communicating at all levels.
  • To use own initiative, adopt a positive approach, treat colleagues with respect, demonstrate personal integrity, and be flexible and adaptable to changing needs.

Requirements:

  • Numeracy and literacy skills to complete work documentation.
  • A current FLT licence is required for this role.
  • Ability to work speedily and accurately, work on own initiative, and experience of working in a warehouse.
  • Experience of working as part of a team, understanding of health and safety issues relating to warehouse environment, and experience of working to performance targets.
  • Experience of using scanners and other I.T devices, previous experience of working on a shift arrangement, and ability to work flexibly due to overtime requirement.
