KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Comprehend the processes, documentation, and terminology associated with international shipping from the issuance of purchase orders to the delivery of goods.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues that may lead to delays in cargo release or final delivery.
  • Exhibit strong decision-making capabilities and prioritize tasks effectively amidst daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain a proactive, professional demeanor, ensuring clarity and reliability in communication with peers and customers.
  • Foster positive working relationships among all team members.
  • Analyze and validate import documentation and data to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations prior to submission.
  • Receive and review documentation for data input and transmission.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are fulfilled and that proper documentation exists for all shipments.
  • Manage customer invoicing, process vendor payables, and assist with receivables for assigned accounts.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Familiarity with AEB Customs software.
  • Experience with Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
  • Background in imports and/or exports.
  • Exceptional communication, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills and follow-up capabilities.
  • Proven experience in customer relations with a client-focused approach.
  • Critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to dynamic tasks and customer needs.
  • Reputation for a logical, methodical, and efficient approach to problem resolution.
  • High attention to detail.
