About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Town Planning professional to join our team as Head of Town Planning. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on town planning matters to senior management and the wider team.
  • Manage the provision of town planning advice by third-party suppliers.
  • Lead liaison with Local Planning Authorities and relevant stakeholders.
  • Discharge EWR Co's functions relating to planning matters under the Development Consent Order.
  • Monitor and respond to third-party planning applications.
  • Manage ongoing liaison with key external stakeholders.
  • Support with emerging business needs, including design panel reviews and public engagement activities.
Requirements
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of the planning process and associated legislation.
  • Proven practical understanding of the complex requirements of infrastructure development projects.
  • Good knowledge of planning legislation, policy, and guidance relating to the Development Consent Order and town planning processes.
