Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA). This is an ongoing position, working full-time from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
About the Position
This role involves supporting students in developing their social, emotional, and cognitive skills. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider community professionals to ensure students are on track.
About Us
We are a primary school located in the London borough of Newham. We pride ourselves on being a tight-knit community with a supportive team. Our school is easily accessible by public transport, and street parking is offered close to the site.
What We Offer
We offer regular training opportunities, including Safeguarding and SEN Awareness. We also have a high conversion rate of graduates who started as SEN TAs and now practice as Psychologists.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should hold a degree in a related field and have prior experience working with students (although this is not essential).
You must have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be empathetic, proactive, and ambitious. If you aspire to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counselling, or Pastoral Work, this role could be ideal for you.
