About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Autism Teaching Support Professional to join our team in Shropshire. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other SEN in a mainstream school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with ASD in a classroom setting
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery to meet the needs of students with SEN
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Coping with challenging behaviors and finding solutions to promote engagement and inclusion
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure student outcomes

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with ASD or in the care sector
  • Motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting students with SEN
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the post

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant or Level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in working in an educational environment
  • Makaton
  • Moving & handling trained

Salary and Benefits:

£22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including pension scheme, life insurance, and opportunities for professional development.
