Job Description:

Our client, a prestigious 4-star venue located in Bracknell, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Meetings & Events Sales Manager to join their team. As a key player in the hospitality industry, our client is committed to providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for their guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage meeting and events reservations
  • Maintain a good relationship with all corporate bookers, conference and hotel booking agents in conjunction with the Sales department
  • Ensure customer feedback is monitored and responded to in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure that the team handle reservations and conference enquiries with the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Sending out Terms and Conditions to clients
  • Maximising the conversion of enquiries
  • Following up on business and gaining repeat business
  • Developing existing business
  • Build relationships with new clients
  • Monitoring competitor performance
  • Ensure clients are receiving the highest level of service, to ensure client satisfaction
  • Manage payroll costs for the department
  • Create an environment which promotes employee's morale and encourages the team to have a pride and commitment in the department
  • Managing team appraisals
  • Co-ordinate the recruitment, inductions and training of department staff
  • Identifying training needs within the team
  • Be actively involved in the creation and implementation of the hotel sales plan
  • Handling complaints
  • Ensuring maximum potential yield over twelve months is achieved, using yield techniques
  • Finalise end of month reports for the board of directors
  • Positively approach sales opportunities in order to maximise sales revenue in order to meet and exceed budgeted sales targets for the department
  • Investigate any deficiencies against budget in the P&L document
  • Bi-weekly and quarterly forecasts

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Superb customer service, communication and organisational skills
  • A strong focus on meeting business targets for revenue and occupancy
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Opera Sales and/or Delphi
  • Demonstrate pro-active selling and effective conversion of enquiries to bookings
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships both with colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • Have an eye for detail and an excellent knowledge of our competitors in order to promote facilities to their full potential
  • Strong leadership skills with a positive, friendly attitude
