Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Front Office Receptionist to join our team at 47 Park Street, Grand Residences by Marriott. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests and members, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process guest check-ins, verifying reservations and issuing room keys in accordance with property policies and procedures.
  • Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests, using brand-specific processes.
  • Answer telephones using brand standards and etiquette.
  • Prepare and review written documents, including proofreading and editing to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Contact relevant departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
  • Take room service orders over the phone, having a full understanding of the menu and any dietary requirements.
  • Accept and record wake-up calls and deliver them at the requested time.
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
  • Count float at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Process all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
  • Obtain manual authorizations and follow Accounting procedures when the computer system is down.
  • Assist staff with expediting problem payments.
  • Block rooms in the computer and identify designated requirements and requests.
  • Make reservations via phone or email, using the central reservations system to quote and enter reservations.
  • Make reservations for members during out-of-office hours.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year prior related experience in hotel front desk or front office.
  • Well-groomed and professional demeanor.
  • Opera PMS knowledge is essential.
  • Positive can-do attitude and warm personality.
  • A team player.
  • Problem-solving skills and multi-tasking ability.
  • Flexibility to work 5/7 days, on shift rotation 7.00am-3.30pm and 2.30pm-11.00pm, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Prospective candidates must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written English, multilingual skills are an advantage.
