Job Description

Responsibilities:

As a Deputy Home Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Care Delivery: Delivering quality care services and strategic planning for developments within the home.
  • Team Supervision: Leading your team and working with other professionals to provide therapeutic care and support tailored to each child.
  • Training and Development: Supervising and mentoring staff, organizing work patterns, facilitating care-focused training, and accessing appropriate services to support childcare practices within the home.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a Residential Children's home.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 4 in Management or Childcare, or willingness to work towards it.
  • Knowledge: Related knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Attributes: Highly driven, proactive, enthusiastic, and a strong people manager with a hands-on approach.
  • Skills: Experience with budgets and rotas.
  • Driving Licence: A full driving licence is essential.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and sleep-ins.

Salary and Benefits:

Our salary package includes a competitive salary of £32k-£34.2k + Additional £3,000-£8,000 per year from sleep in's, plus benefits such as enhanced pay scales, family support, paid training, and free meals.
