We are seeking a Medical Secretary to join our team at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, providing administrative support to Consultants and Managers within the Cellular Pathology Department.

The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Audiotyping and copying complex pathology reports
  • Providing comprehensive secretarial services to Consultants and Managers
  • Supporting departmental objectives and targets
Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

  • RSA level 3 typing or equivalent experience
  • AMSPAR medical secretarial qualification or equivalent
  • Secretarial experience, including audiotyping
  • Knowledge of Windows Packages, including Word
  • NVQ customer care
  • Understanding of medical terminology
