Clerical Assistant Position

We are seeking an experienced Clerical Worker to join the City of Edinburgh Council team at Calderglen Early Learning and Childcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The ideal candidate will carry out general administrative duties, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • They will also assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and security, is also a key aspect of this role.
  • Providing excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner, is essential for success.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask, are crucial for this position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is necessary.
Working Hours and Salary:

15 hours per week, Thursday and Friday, 0745 – 1545. Estimated salary: £25,322 - £27,727 per year.
