About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Community Nurse to join our team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Children's Community Nursing Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with acute and long-term conditions.

The successful candidate will have extensive clinical knowledge and skills in caring for children and young people with a variety of needs, and will be able to work autonomously and use their clinical decision-making skills to provide effective care. Experience of working within the community setting is desirable, but not essential.

You will be working within an established and experienced team, and will be involved in the provision of and support the delivery of skilled paediatric care to children and young people with acute/long term conditions and palliative/end of life care.

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Children)
  • Relevant experience at Band 5 in an acute setting
  • Portfolio of evidence showing achievements in practice/speciality
  • Able to demonstrate imaginative and effective use of resources
  • Able to articulate personal development needs
  • Demonstrates knowledge of audit/research recommendations
  • Evidence of involvement in change management
  • Ability to travel
  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures
  • Flexibility
  • Children's Community Specialist Practitioner/Children's Community Diploma
  • Experience of working in a Community setting
