Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Swanton Care & Community Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex medical needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to children with complex medical needs, including intimate personal care, clinical tasks, and general support.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans to promote the independence and well-being of children in our care.
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and other staff members to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.
  • Participate in play and stimulation activities to promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of children's care and progress.
Requirements
  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Good standard of general education and excellent communication skills.
  • Safeguarding qualification and knowledge of current legislation.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Positive approach to behaviors that may present challenges.
