About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Clinical Support Worker/Carer to join our team at Swanton Care & Community Ltd. As a key member of our support team, you will provide high-quality care and support to children with complex medical needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to children with complex medical needs, including intimate care, clinical tasks, and general support.
- Develop and implement individual care plans to promote independence and continuity of care.
- Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and staff team to ensure the highest standard of care is provided.
- Participate in play and stimulation activities to promote the growth and development of children.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of involvement with children and their families.
- Report any unusual occurrences or concerns to the shift leader or on-call person.
Requirements:
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- NVQ Level 3 diploma or relevant qualification or willingness to complete relevant qualification within time frame.
- Good standard of general education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safeguarding qualification.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting children in a children's home.
- Effective communicator both verbally and written.
- Knowledge/experience of children who have complex needs relevant to service.
- Displays initiative and approach-ability.
- Displays sensitivity and awareness to multicultural issues.
