Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Swanton Care & Community Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex medical needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to children with complex medical needs, including intimate personal care, clinical tasks, and general support.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans to promote the independence and well-being of children in our care.
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and other staff members to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting children with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, clean, and secure environment for all children and staff.

Swanton Care & Community Ltd is a small, purpose-built bungalow providing care and support to children with complex medical needs. Our team is dedicated to providing a family-oriented, negotiated care package that meets the individual needs of each child.

Requirements
  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Good standard of general education and excellent communication skills.
  • Safeguarding qualification and knowledge of current legislation.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Driver of minibus (desirable).
