About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team at Edwardstow Court, a 48-bed care home in Stow-on-the-Wold. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen and catering services, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs of our residents
  • Manage a small team of kitchen staff to ensure high standards of nutrition, hygiene, and safety
  • Cater for meals for other day centres, luncheon clubs, and community activities as required
  • Work closely with residents and their families to understand their personal preferences and dietary needs
  • Manage budgets and stock effectively to ensure efficient kitchen operations

About You

We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with knowledge of menu planning for specialist diets. You should be confident in leading and motivating a team, and have excellent communication skills to engage with our elderly residents.
