About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Community Volunteer. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our Community Groups for autistic adults and helping them meet in a welcoming and non-judgmental setting.

You will be working closely with our team to provide support and guidance to members, and helping to facilitate group activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working with vulnerable adults, develop new skills, and join a team that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of autistic individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome new members to the group and help them settle in.
  • Support members to participate in group activities.
  • Help make suggestions about new group activities.
  • Help send feedback about the group to Autism Hampshire staff.
  • Keep an accurate record of attendance at the group.
  • Report any concerns to Autism Hampshire staff.

Requirements:

  • Interest in supporting autistic adults.
  • Good listener.
  • Reliable.
  • Can offer support in a non-judgmental way.

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
