Support Specialist in Autism Education

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Specialist to join our team at TeacherActive. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism and other special needs to achieve their academic and personal goals.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have experience working within SEND settings and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team and provide individualized support to students as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Providing individualized support to students with autism and other special needs
- Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff members
Requirements:
- Degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with students with autism and other special needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
