Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Nurse to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cardiac division, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to work in a dynamic and innovative environment. You will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including coronary angiograms, coronary angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation. You will also have the opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills, working closely with our ward manager and matron.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including pre, post, and discharge care for day case cardiology patients.
  • Coordinate the movement of staff and patients between wards, ensuring patients receive the appropriate level of care.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the development of our nursing practice, participating in education and research initiatives.

Person Specification
  • Relevant cardiology experience.
  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse.
