About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Nurse Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cardiac division, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including coronary angiogram, coronary angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation.
  • Coordinate the movement of staff and patients between wards, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of junior staff.
  • Contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Relevant cardiology experience and a degree or diploma in nursing.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to supervise and support junior staff.
  • Experience of teaching and assessing skills/ability.
