About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Nurse Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cardiac division, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including coronary angiogram, coronary angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation.
  • Coordinate the movement of staff and patients between wards, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement nursing plans to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and experience.
  • Contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Relevant cardiology experience and a degree or diploma in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse with a strong track record of providing high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to supervise and support junior staff, with a focus on mentoring and preceptorship.
  • Experience of clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
