Job Summary: As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will assess children with diverse needs, develop individualised treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. You will also collaborate with parents and schools to support each child's development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children referred to the clinic using standardised assessment tools.
  2. Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings, employing a sensory integration approach.
  3. Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions during therapy sessions.
  4. Collaborate with parents to provide education and training, enabling them to support their child's development effectively.
  5. Consult with schools for recommendations on environmental adaptations and strategies for inclusion.
  6. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation, including reports and progress notes.
  7. Actively participate in team meetings and case discussions, contributing to clinic policies and procedures.
  8. Shared management of a small team of band 5 and 6 OTs when the CEO is out of the country.

Person Requirements: A degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC. Extensive experience working with children facing various challenges, particularly those with autism. Proven ability to independently conduct assessments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for supporting children and their families. Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Salary: NHS Band 7-8a (£43,041 - £69,683 per annum), dependent on experience.
