As a Therapeutic Play Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting therapeutic assessments and developing play programmes for children and young people in the hospital, tailored to their individual needs and as part of the overall care plan. You will closely monitor, evaluate, and adjust therapeutic interventions to measure the child's progress and ensure the effectiveness of the care plan, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Foundation Degree in Healthcare Play Specialism or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children/young people in a hospital environment
  • Knowledge of current best evidence-based practice of therapeutic play for ages 0 – 17
  • Registered with HPSET
