Position Overview

As a key member of our wholesale division, the Wholesale Account Manager will embody a genuine appreciation for high-quality coffee and excel in providing outstanding customer service. This role is essential in nurturing our client relationships and enhancing our commercial success.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with specialty coffee in the UK market
  • Experience with management software such as Xero, Unleashed, and Shopify (not mandatory)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and maintaining client relationships
  • Ability to lead and develop a team effectively

Performance Metrics

  • Completion of a six-month probationary period with a performance review
  • Achievement of quarterly sales objectives
  • Management of the new customer pipeline
  • Regular appraisals every six months
  • Monthly performance review meetings with direct supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the wholesale team, including sales and account management
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our products in alignment with our core values
  • Identify opportunities to engage and support wholesale clients
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding our services and support options
  • Supervise wholesale account managers, ensuring effective planning of their activities
  • Analyze ordering trends and address fluctuations in demand
  • Coordinate technical support for clients as needed
  • Provide training sessions at our Roastery or client locations when necessary
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve sales targets and commercial goals
  • Participate in trade shows and exhibitions as required
  • Convert leads from inquiries and proactively seek new business opportunities
  • Conduct research on prospects to tailor our offerings to their needs
  • Organize and facilitate sales meetings with potential clients
  • Keep the new business pipeline updated, tracking all lead management activities
  • Work closely with the roastery team to identify prospects and enhance conversion rates
  • Collaborate with the Head of Coffee on sales forecasting and green bean order planning
  • Develop strategic plans for coffee sales and customer engagement
  • Adapt to last-minute changes and resolve issues while prioritizing customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
