ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Client Relationship Manager is tasked with managing client accounts, ensuring comprehensive oversight of the press office, campaign initiatives, junior team coordination, and client interactions. As a team leader, the Client Relationship Manager will oversee a variety of responsibilities, including strategic planning, proposal creation, client reporting, and the execution of press office activities and campaigns. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities and campaigns, adhering to established timelines and key performance indicators (KPIs).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  1. Client Engagement: Effectively maintains relationships with managerial-level clients, leading all status updates and team discussions. The Client Relationship Manager is expected to recognize and address client needs proactively, ensuring that meeting agendas and presentations are prepared to a professional standard before being shared with senior team members or clients for review.
  2. Communication Proficiency: Clearly articulates ideas and strategies, showcasing strong negotiation skills and providing sound counsel when discussing concepts with team members and clients.
  3. Team Leadership: Exhibits strong delegation and briefing capabilities to ensure junior team members understand their tasks and deadlines, facilitating timely and high-quality deliverables. Consistently manages upward and downward communication with the Account Director and Account Executives to keep the team informed of project progress.
  4. Writing Expertise: Demonstrates outstanding written communication abilities, capable of drafting straightforward PR/social plans, effective press releases, pitch emails, and reports with minimal guidance from senior colleagues.
  5. Business Development: The Client Relationship Manager is expected to contribute to client strategies and new business proposals through insightful ideation and the ability to lead successful brainstorming sessions. Additionally, the role involves identifying opportunities for organic growth within existing client accounts.
  6. Campaign Management: As a proactive self-starter, the Client Relationship Manager oversees all facets of press office operations and campaigns, ensuring flawless execution that meets established timelines and client KPIs. This role includes creating and managing a comprehensive project timeline for all initiatives.
  7. Influencer Collaboration: Demonstrates a solid understanding of influencer engagement and is capable of negotiating agreements with both talent and clients, with support from senior team members as needed.
  8. Networking Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with talent management agencies and key media contacts.
  9. Account Oversight: Exhibits meticulous attention to detail when preparing client budgets and managing expense tracking to ensure all costs are accounted for within the approved budget. Oversees all aspects of coverage monitoring to guarantee accurate reporting of results in client documents.
  10. Training and Development: Engages in internal or external training focused on creative and strategic planning, issues management, and mentorship for junior team members.
