Job Overview
Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join its Family Support and Safeguarding Team. This exciting opportunity enables you to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our diverse communities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of Child in Need, Children in need of Protection, Public Law Outline, and care proceedings, focusing on children up to the age of 18. You will use a Motivational Interviewing approach to partner with children and their families to achieve sustainable change and improved outcomes. This role offers a unique chance to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including adult mental health workers, drug and alcohol recovery workers, and adult domestic abuse workers.

We offer a competitive salary range of £38,690 - £44,573 per annum, depending on experience, plus a relocation package of up to £8,000 (eligibility applies). Our comprehensive wellbeing package includes 6 days of protected time for Continuous Professional Development, scalable retention payments of up to £7,650 over a 3-year period, and access to our Cambridgeshire Academy for Reaching Excellence (CARE) for professional growth.

To succeed in this role, you must be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration and have the ability to work from various locations, traveling countywide independently.
