We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead our EMEA investment initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive growth and success in the region.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing direct investments in the EMEA region. You will work closely with investment professionals with deep sector and regional expertise to achieve our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for your assigned sector
  • Identify thematic investment strategies and cultivate preferred origination networks
  • Prioritize and manage a portfolio of preferred investment targets
  • Lead a small team in evaluating new investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Conduct rigorous industry and company due diligence, leveraging analytical and quantitative skills
  • Drive negotiation of legal agreements and facilitate the investment process from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with management teams to implement value-enhancing initiatives post-transaction
  • Serve on boards or in board observer roles, providing strategic guidance and oversight
  • Lead projects and initiatives to drive growth and optimize portfolio performance
Requirements
  • 15+ years meaningful work experience, with ideally the most recent experience being in leading deals in the European private equity market
  • Experience in playing a leading role in the investment process, including conducting due diligence, leading multiple diligence streams
  • Demonstrated track record of success in private equity investments, with proven returns across market cycles
  • Strong academic background, preferably with a financial designation (MBA, CFA, etc.)
  • Extensive experience in European private equity and/or significant M&A transactions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally including board-level roles and project management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, balancing competing priorities effectively
