Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service Group. The successful candidate will work within the community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children and adolescents with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective treatment plans for children and adolescents with mental health needs
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses for children and adolescents with mental health needs
- Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare professionals on child and adolescent mental health
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for CAMHS
The Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service Group provides a range of community and inpatient services to a wide population. The team is responsible for providing Perinatal, Child & Adolescent, Adult, Older People, Rehabilitation, Substance Misuse, Forensic, and Learning Disabilities Services. The successful candidate will join a clinical team including consultant psychiatry colleagues, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and a wider medical workforce.

We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science, and the Institute of Life Science. The Health Board is part of A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH), which is a partnership with Hywel Dda UHB and Swansea University. Aimed at improving the wellbeing and wealth of South West Wales.
Requirements- Registered with the GMC
- Licensed to practice
- On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview and have passed exit exam or a statement of eligibility for registration issued by PMETB or a primary medical qualification and recognized specialist qualification from a European Member State which will allow direct entry to the GMC Specialist Register
