We are seeking a skilled Administrative HR Coordinator to join our team at Conquip Engineering Group in Alton, Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to support various aspects of HR, from onboarding and employee relations to data administration and ensuring full HR compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR processes, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining HR documents, monitoring and responding to queries, and supporting employee relations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain accurate HR records on Staffology HR System
  • Monitor and respond to HR-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Support employee relations by providing guidance and assistance as needed
  • Input and update data into internal HR databases with high accuracy
  • Complete tasks delegated by the Head of HR efficiently
  • Assist with payroll-related matters and tasks, including inputting and processing data
  • Provide advice on HR-related queries and policies to Line Managers and Employees
  • Collect and maintain confidential employee information and records
  • Record and update holidays, sickness, and absences accurately
  • Write new HR procedures and update job descriptions as required
  • Develop and maintain effective administrative systems and procedures
  • Coordinate logistics for new hire inductions and administer the onboarding process smoothly
  • Administer the probation process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
  • Assist in formal meetings and respond to reference requests promptly
  • Welcome visitors and candidates to the office
  • Administer internal leavers and ensure proper procedures are followed correctly
  • Participate in organising and planning employee events and activities
  • Assist with appraisals administration and occupational health referrals as needed
  • Evaluate and maintain adherence to Data Protection Act and GDPR requirements

Basic Skills:

  • Proven experience in HR administration and a solid understanding of HR processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with a willingness to learn company-specific software
  • Excellent organisation and maintenance of electronic filing systems

This role requires a dedicated individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, who can handle delicate personnel-related tasks with confidentiality and discretion. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and possess a positive, friendly, and professional demeanour with excellent communication skills.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
