Product Support Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-performance motion control technology, is seeking a Product Support Engineer to join their team in Gloucestershire, UK.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to provide technical support to existing customers via multiple media channels, including phone, email, and on-site visits. You will also be responsible for supporting and training in-house and external applications engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers via multiple media channels
  • Support and train in-house and external applications engineers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electronic engineering
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • A valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK
  • A valid UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
  • Experience using stand-alone automation systems, e.g. PLC or Motion Controller
  • Knowledge of a programming language, e.g. C, BASIC, Python
  • Programming with standard IEC languages
  • Application and configuration of Industrial Robots
  • Using real-time deterministic networks, e.g. Programming and configuration of touch-screen HMIs
