Safeguarding Chair Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to chair our safeguarding group, driving safeguarding excellence across the Diocese.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of safeguarding principles, experience in leading safeguarding efforts, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Salary: £12,000 per annum (maximum 12 days per annum), paid at £1,000 per day attending the Diocesan Office or the Cathedral.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair the safeguarding group, ensuring effective decision-making and strategy development.
  • Oversee the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of safeguarding awareness and excellence throughout the Diocese.

Requirements: Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a proven track record in safeguarding.
