About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Church Leadership Programme Director to join our team at The Church of England. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others and contribute to the development of Christian leaders.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the development of Christian leaders who will be faithful to their calling, fruitful in their work, and flourish as children of God.

This role involves directing the design, development, and implementation of high-quality leadership development programmes for the learning community.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of Christian leadership development principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the design, development, and implementation of high-quality leadership development programmes
  • Shape, plan, schedule, implement, and evaluate each element of the learning design
  • Act as the lead facilitator on each module
  • Ensure high-quality input through the identification, commissioning, briefing, supervision, and review of internal and external experts
  • Engage and supervise external coaches
  • Induce newly appointed deans and bishops through training and mentoring
  • Support the Ministerial Development Review process
  • Collate trends and data from evaluations and participants
Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A deep understanding of Christian leadership development principles
  • Experience in designing and implementing leadership programmes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels

We offer a competitive salary of £66,186, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We also provide 30 days annual leave, flexible working hours, and access to a range of development opportunities.
