Church Safeguarding Advisory Panel Chair

We are seeking a skilled professional to serve as Chair of our Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in safeguarding children, young people, and adults, as well as experience working within a church context. This role involves leading the panel's efforts to develop and implement effective safeguarding policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and review of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with diocesan and parish officers to ensure seamless implementation.
- Maintain strong relationships with statutory services.
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- A deep understanding of safeguarding principles and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
This position comes with a competitive salary, with remuneration paid at £500 per full day (maximum 12 days per annum) for attending meetings at the Diocesan Office or Cathedral.
